Pianist and producer Yoni Mayraz blurs the lines between hip-hop infused jazz territory and oriental sounds.
After honing his skills as a key pianist, composer and producer in the vibrant Tel Aviv music scene, Yoni delivered his first EP 'Rough Cuts' in 2020. The honest and personal story of his musical journey through local sounds, 90's East-Coast Hip Hop and Jazz's piano greats, all major voices contributing to his own individual sound. “One of the most captivating compositions I’ve heard in 2020” - Richardine Bartee (Grammy member). Yoni's compositions are rugged, yet they exude the love for adventurous harmonies and delicate textures.
His last two singles released via Village Live Records, featured a collaboration with Grammy-winning engineer Qmillion, known for his work on Robert Glasper's 'Black Radio' and sought-after trumpeter Itamar Borochov (Yemen Blues). Both of the tracks were praised by major radio stations and magazines around the world, such as Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, NPO radio 2, Balamii radio, Music Is My Sanctuary, The Wicked Sound, Twisted Soul and more.
